VaultPay
The Challenge
A fintech needed a peer-to-peer payments app that felt more like Apple than a bank. Existing options looked dated, moved slowly, and users didn't trust them with anything above $50. The client needed to break through in a market dominated by Venmo and Cash App.
Our Solution
We built VaultPay end-to-end on Flutter — biometric auth, animated transaction receipts, instant settlement via Stripe Connect, and a UI calm enough to make a $5,000 transfer feel routine. Every interaction was designed to communicate security through stillness rather than friction.
What We Built
Key Features
Biometric Auth
Face ID and fingerprint authentication on every transaction above $100. Security that feels effortless.
Instant Settlement
Stripe Connect delivers funds to linked bank accounts within seconds, not days.
Animated Receipts
Every completed transfer triggers a satisfying micro-animation that communicates success without words.
Plaid Bank Linking
Connect any US bank account in under 60 seconds. 11,000+ supported institutions.
Transaction Timeline
A beautiful chronological feed of every transfer with status, amount, and recipient — searchable and filterable.
Split & Request
Split bills or request money with a single tap. Reminders send automatically if payment is overdue.

How We Did It
Our Process
Security Architecture
2 weeksDesigned the auth flow, encryption model, and fraud detection rules before writing a single UI component.
Design System
2 weeksBuilt a Flutter design system around the principle of 'calm confidence'. Every colour, spacing, and animation chosen deliberately.
Core Payments
6 weeksStripe Connect integration, Plaid bank linking, and the transaction processing pipeline.
UI & Animations
5 weeksEvery screen, transition, and micro-animation. The receipt animation alone went through 12 iterations.
Compliance & Launch
3 weeksPCI DSS compliance review, App Store and Play Store submissions, and phased rollout.
We knew we had something special when our beta users started sending $2,000 transfers on day one. The UX made them feel safe in a way no other app had. Ventrox Tech understood that fintech UX is really about psychology.
